The role:

As a Technical Deviation Investigator at Lonza AG, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Located in our Slough, UK facility, you will be part of an ambitious team dedicated to flawless execution and continuous improvement. You will lead the investigation of technical deviations and drive the implementation of solutions that uphold our outstanding standards. This outstanding opportunity allows you to collaborate across departments, encouraging an environment of inclusion and outstanding teamwork.

This new role has been created to support additional GMP demand within Operations. The role consists of performing Root Cause Analysis using effective tools, supporting product impact assessments and implementation of appropriate CAPA(s)!

Key responsibilities:

  • Initiate and manage deviation records within the Lonza QMS System (TrackWise) to ensure timely and effective resolution.

  • Plan, complete, and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) events, engaging relevant departments and collaborators.

  • Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to facilitate deviation closure.

  • Ensure deviations and investigations are completed and closed in alignment with batch release timelines.

  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) teams to support deviation closure and address customer-related queries with a high standard of accuracy.

  • Engage in process improvement projects that improve our operational efficiency and product quality.

Key requirements:

  • BSc or equivalent experience in a scientific field.

  • White belt qualified or equivalent in Lean Six Sigma.

  • Proficient in using TrackWise or similar Quality Management Systems.

  • Proven experience in performing Root Cause Analysis using effective tools and methodologies.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to articulate findings and recommendations clearly.

  • Outstanding organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
