Lonza has a consistent track record in the manufacturing of BioConjugates from early clinical to large scale commercial supplies. Our dedicated Protein Conjugation Plant facility (PCP) is recognized as a center of excellence for Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) as well as other classes of BioConjugates. We are experiencing an increased demand in this area and as part of Lonza’s IBEX Dedicate model, new Bioconjugation suites will be built out within the pre-existing shell.

In order to support our continued growth Lonza is seeking Bioprocess Engineers with a relevant background in Life Sciences and a passion for Biotechnology to join our talent community in Visp. Key responsibilities:
- As Bioprocess Engineer, you will secure operational activities for assigned manufacturing projects in downstream areas with responsibility for manufacturing execution with regard to the safety and quality standards and on-time-in full delivery
- You will act as the functional lead for preparation, manufacturing execution, cleaning and changeover in the assigned area
- In downstream processing (DSP) you will be in charge of the manufacturing of therapeutic BioConjugates like Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) and other for clinical and commercial manufacturing projects.
- For the installation and commissioning of new bioconjugation suites, you will act as an SME (Domain Expert) for the assigned area’s
Key requirements:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related Life Science subject, or Bachelor’s holder with additional working experience in relevant industry
- Knowledge in DSP units (such as chromatography, Ultrafiltration etc.)
- GMP experience and understanding of bioprocess technology
- Excellent communication skills in English and/or German
