Join Lonza in an outstanding opportunity to be a key player in one of the industry's leading biologics manufacturing facilities in Vacaville, CA. As a Frontline Engineering Asset Business Partner, you will support planning and delivery of functional services within Asset Operations, driving continuous improvement and team development. This role is crucial in aligning cross-functional efforts and encouraging a high-performance, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide functional expertise to the Asset Operations Head to achieve production plan targets.

  • Lead the Plant Engineering department, ensuring safety, quality, compliance, and efficient product delivery.

  • Consistently communicate with other Business Partners to share standard methodologies and allocate SME resources.

  • Participate in site strategy decisions as part of the asset leadership team.

  • Lead multi-functional teams with management, support departments, and customers to achieve site vision and strategy.

  • Ensure the manufacturing facility is in a continuous state of readiness for production and GMP audits.

  • Supervise, train, and mentor the functional team, focusing on people development and continuous improvement.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering preferred.

  • Proven ability in effective Planning, Organizing, and Controlling.

  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional teams simultaneously.

  • Extensive experience with developing strategies.

  • Strong background of building relationships with customers.

  • Strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) in biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities or equivalent regulation.

As required by law in this state, the quoted salary range for this position is $158,000-$268,000. We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities; while also allowing for differentiation on performance based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at the company between the lower and the middle part of the applicable range. We tailor our offers within the range based on job-related factors, including organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic area and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and/or communication skills and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. This range is only inclusive of base salary, and base pay is just one component of Lonza’s total compensation package for employees. Full-time employees are eligible to receive a performance-related bonus, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, 401k plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off (PTO), and more.
