We are excited to present an outstanding opportunity for a Process Engineer in Greenwood, SC, USA. This role is vital for our ambitious growth, dedicated to encouraging innovation and enhancing manufacturing processes with world-class precision.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support operations by troubleshooting equipment, systems, and processes to resolve issues that arise during manufacturing.
  • Communicate progress and challenges effectively to collaborators during project and process implementation and support.
  • Monitor and trend Overall Equipment Efficiency of machines in manufacturing to identify challenges and develop corrective and preventative solutions.
  • Support internal and external audits and inspections.
  • Support new equipment and processes through testing, documentation, and training.
  • Evaluate and apply technology to incorporate innovation into process design.
  • Participate in & lead Root Cause Corrective Action activities to permanently eliminate defects.
  • Apply DMAIC approach for problem-solving and non-conformities.
  • Generate technical work instructions and SOPs that will serve as a platform to train manufacturing colleagues.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Lean principles to improve process efficiency.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Six Sigma principles to improve process quality.
  • Reengineer processes to optimize product flow, reduce variation, streamline operations, and support cost-cutting initiatives.
  • Work interdepartmentally to resolve quality and production issues.
  • Support review, approval, and execution of change control requests, deviations, investigations, CAPAs, and validations.
  • Champion Kaizen activities to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance in safety, quality, cost & delivery.
  • Lead Kaizen events to initiate improvements within and between departments.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical) or equivalent experience.
  • Food or pharmaceutical manufacturing process experience.
  • GMP, FDA regulated industry experience.
  • Adaptable thinking and behavior to support change.
  • Green Belt / Black Belt preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven track record implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to trend data via statistical analysis to predict equipment performance.
  • Ability to collaborate with different functional groups and prioritize organizational needs.
