Job Description:

Managing complex projects requires a unique set of skills that are consolidated into the role of Program Manager (PM). This crucial position sits at the center of a triangle made up between Lonza, our Customers and their Patients. You will therefore be responsible for ensuring relationships are built and that the project/program is delivered according to the expected quality, timelines and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the interface between the Customer and Lonza to ensure execution and delivery according to Lonza and the Customer’s expectations

  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the life of the program through collaborative relationship management with AM/Sales

  • Embraces change in a dynamic environment by demonstrating a high level of adaptability and flexibility.

  • Understands the key drivers that affect our profitability.

  • Able to translate the business strategy into actionable objectives & plans.

  • Uses their unique understanding of the customers requirements to identify   and develop additional retention business opportunities.

  • Encourages diverse perspectives and ideas - acknowledges the skills, experience, creativity and contributions of the team members. 

  • Acts as a key facilitator, empowering the team and clears potential roadblocks, paving the way for greater success.

  • Ensure a robust project governance is in place and provide clarity of roles, responsibilities & expectations of everyone associated with the project.

  • Ability to successfully plan, organize and control all activities and processes which form part of the project plan. 

  • Coach the team through experience, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical, biology, biochemistry, life sciences or relevant field.

  • Master’s degree in business or engineering or equivalent experience preferred.

  • 3-4 years working experience as a Program or Project Manager in the Life Sciences or related industry preferred.

  • Extensive Experience in a GMP Regulated, Pharmaceutical, or Environmental industry.

As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure that we are able to attract the best candidates. As required by law in this state, the quoted salary range for this position is $145,000 and $247,000. We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities; while also allowing for differentiation on performance based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at the company between the lower and the middle part of the applicable range. We tailor our offers within the range based on job-related factors, including organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic area and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and/or communication skills and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. This range is only inclusive of base salary, and base pay is just one component of Lonza’s total compensation package for employees. Full-time employees are eligible to receive a performance-related bonus, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, 401k plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off (PTO), and more.
